We have carried out essential work to replace our clinical computer system.

We are now in the learning phase of the replacement system. All our staff and clinicians are learning on the job how to use the system to provide the best service we can. However please be patient, kind and courteous during this phase, as things will take longer than we would like.

APPOINTMENTS

Having run a limited service during the changeover, we are aware there is a back log of demand.

To ease the transition to the new system it would help us if patients requiring routine non-urgent appointments avoid requesting appointments until things have bedded in.

Patients requiring urgent attention or advice should contact the surgery as normal.

Patients who attend the surgery may experience longer waiting times and we apologise for this.

TEXT MESSAGING

The number that you will receive Text communications has changed to "0790359935" - we hope to use this to notify you of appointment reminders and changes. It is therefore important we have up-to-date contact details on our system.

REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS

One Advanced Patient Services Patient Services will be providing our new online prescription ordering system and you should hear directly from them to register.

You may have already received an email from "noreply@myvisiononline.co.uk" with the Subject: Patient Services Registration Details. This is a legitimate email and the instructions in this should be followed. Please check Junk folders for this, and if required contact the surgery to get instructions resent. We are aware that this is not as straightforward as we would like but is outwith our control.

We will likely be initially slower to produce prescriptions as we learn the new systems.

RESUMPTION OF NORMAL SERVICE

The new system is very different to the one we currently use. Although the clinicians and the staff will receive training, it will take us some time to be fully familiar with it. Therefore please bear with us during the early stages.

Appointments may initially be restricted, and waiting times may be longer including appointment punctuality.

We hope to return to our usual service levels as rapidly as we can.
