Weight Management

The practice in conjunction with NHS Nithsdale Health Improvment Team operates a Walk-In Weight Managment Clinic every Tuesday from 12 to 1pm.

This clinic will be led by Mairead Rowan, NHS Nithsdale, Health Improvment Team.

Weight will be taken individually and confidentially and written on a personal record card to be kept by those attending the clinic.

There will also be a talk each week on, for example, dietary advice, exercise, food labelling, recipes and lots more. Mairead will be happy to give talks on subjects suggested by those attending the clinic.

At the end of the talk there will be time for Mairead to answer questions from the group or you can speak to privately.

If you do not wish to stay for the talk, that is fine, you can weigh and go - this is intended to be a very informal and flexible clinic where everyone is welcome.

The Weight Managment Clinic continues to grow with regular groups of 15 - 20 patients. We are pleased to report that through the support of Health improvment Team, the cumulative weight loss for those attending is an incredible 8 stone as of 5th April.

So if you need support then come along or ask at reception for information.
